Fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet, structural material using the same and method for producing fiber- reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet



PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet in which a thermoplastic resin is readily impregnated into a reinforcing-fiber bundle, orientation of the reinforcing fiber is not randomized and a manufacturing cost can be decreased and a structural material using the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet, and to provide a method for producing the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet. SOLUTION: This fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet is obtained by arranging a plurality of reinforcing-fiber bundles in parallel in one direction to give a reinforcing-fiber sheet, piling a nonwoven fabric of a thermoplastic resin obtained by making a thermoplastic resin fiber into a fabric in a nonwoven state on the reinforcing-fiber sheet, pressurizing the nonwoven fabric and piled sheet while heating, melting the nonwoven fabric of the thermoplastic resin, impregnating the thermoplastic resin into the reinforcing-fiber bundles into a prepreg state in which the thermoplastic resin is approximately uniformly impregnated into the reinforcing-fiber bundles. This structural material of woven fabric, knitted fabric or braid is obtained by cutting the fiber-reinforced the thermoplastic resin sheet into a narrow tape state to give a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin narrow sheet and weaving, knitting or braiding the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin narrow sheet. (57)【要約】 【課題】 強化繊維束に熱可塑性樹脂が含浸し易く、し かも、強化繊維の配向を乱すこともなく、製造コストも 低減できる繊維強化熱可塑性樹脂シート及びそれを用い た構造材並びに繊維強化熱可塑性樹脂シートの製造方法 を提供する。 【解決手段】 繊維強化熱可塑性樹脂シートは、複数本 の強化繊維束を一方向に引き揃えた強化繊維シートに熱 可塑性樹脂繊維を不織状態で布帛とした熱可塑性樹脂不 織布を重ね合わせて加熱しつつ加圧することにより、熱 可塑性樹脂不織布を溶融させ、強化繊維束中に熱可塑性 樹脂を含浸させて、強化繊維束中に熱可塑性樹脂が略均 一に含浸したプリプレグ状態としたものである。この繊 維強化熱可塑性樹脂シートを細幅テープ状に切断してな る繊維強化熱可塑性樹脂細幅シートを製織、製編又は製 組して織物構造材、編物構造材又は組紐構造材を構成す る。
